For the month of June The Bridges Golf Club partnered with the PGA of America to offer a special Women’s Golf Month promotion. I was really pleased to see that so many women from around the Bay Area took advantage of the special green fee offer. We had 350 women play golf at The Bridges. I’m sure a majority of the women were repeat customers, but it was still great to see a big turnout . The price for a green fee was only $30 for ladies. Given the difficulty of the course layout, I wondered how many women would really come out to play The Bridges.
Whether it was the lower green fee or the course conditions or both, they came out in droves. Unfortunately we didn’t have as many women play in the Best Ball Tournament – only about 20. But those women enjoyed the event and walked away with some good prizes. We also filled up the golf clinics offered by Joey Pickavance at Systemgolf.
I think the promotion was great and really exposed The Bridges to some new players. I hope some of the women continue to play at The Bridges in the future. I am sure we will partner again with the PGA for Women’s Golf Month.
